The great thoughts above suggest that believe and you can do
it. Amazing but is it true?
The human mind doesn’t accept it until we prove it,
demonstrate it and show it happening. So we see, believe and we can do it in
our daily lives. Let us see. Many a times, what we think or say, just happens.
We dismiss it by saying or believing that Goddess Saraswati resides on our
tongue once during the day and so it happens. Then, we try and regret it by
just accepting the idea or wish we could have asked for something better
instead and god could have blessed us with it. We never think that it was
nothing but the power of our mind or our belief that made it happen.
Still contemplating!!! How many of us believe or have our
lucky charms. It is a part of being a girl to have lucky charms. A luck dress
which we wear just before the exams. But what’s being lucky got to do with
believing? Gill believes luck is a skill you cultivate. “Everything you see
around you, started with a thought that led to an idea. Acting upon this idea
brings it to life. Thus you think of yourself lucky, you increase your
confidence. Research conducted at University of Cologne, Germany revealed that
believing in the magical or superstition can also have a positive effect. In a
test, some participants playing golf were told their ball was lucky. They sank
6.4 putts out of 10, nearly two putts on an average, than those who weren’t
told the ball was lucky. Research says that believing something is lucky for
you positively enhances your thoughts the extent that luck actually starts favoring
you. A talisman does not bring one any luck by itself. It is perhaps your
belief and feeling of positivity when you use that lucky charm, which does the
trick.
If you are still not convinced, then, think about this, even
God takes the form what we believe thee. In Bhagvad Geeta, chapter four, verse
eleven Lord Krishna says:-
“Ye yatha mam prapadyante tamstathaiva bhajamyahan”
Meaning: O Parth! However, the devotee worships Me, so do I
approach them, for all men ultimately follow my path.
Howsoever, devotee seeks God, so does he meet them and grant
them their desires. He reveals Himself, to a devotee. Arjun regarded Lord
Krishna as his friend and wanted his company so Krishna becomes his chariot-
driver.
Human mind and spirit has great powers. It can achieve,
whatever it thinks, it can and universe helps it to achieve it. As Shahrukh
Khan says in an Alchemist inspired dialogue in “Om Shanti Om” “Kahte hain agar
kisi cheez ko dil se chaho… to puri kainaat use tumse milane ki koshish mein
lag jati hai”. So if you want something, the entire universe strives helping
you achieve it. Always remember you can overturn your bad fortune and make it
good just by believing in yourself. So next time when you want to do something
or achieve anything just believe you can do it and you can. I leave you with
Lord Buddha’s words,
Mind is everything what you think you can become.
It is your mind that creates the world.
